Eastnor Castle Mud Bath Review

Are you looking for a fun race where you can compete with family and friends while getting muddy and wet through a stunning environment? If so, then the Eastnor Castle Mud Bath could be the perfect option for you. The event is being held on Sunday 10th October 2021 after being pushed back due to COVID-19.

Discover An Incredible Circuit

Eastnor Castle is a unique location for a race as it’s the home of the Land Rover test centre. There is a total of six miles of track here that winds through woodlands and deer park. The aim of this track is to put the vehicle being tested through the toughest challenges making it perfect for a wet and wild race on foot. The man-made paths are naturally flooded and the mud pits remain fun to travel through whether you’re racing in the middle of summer or at the edge of the winter season. It’s a beautiful location too and this racing experience does take the muddiest trails as part of the course.

Racers will even need to navigate their way around certain natural obstacles. Aside from the mud that you will no doubt be rolling in, you’ll need to find your way across gullies and climb over fallen trees. There are some tough hills to trek up as well, making this race a healthy challenge and great fun at the same time.

A Lovely Environment

The HQ for the race can be found in the fields that are next to the castle. Indeed, you will travel around the castle towards the end of the course so this is another part of the reason why the race is so unique. The building is truly incredible to behold while there’s a gorgeous lake that stretches out in front of you when you run this race.

A Great Day For All

The aim of this race is to provide a fun experience that people won’t forget. While parts of the course are certainly challenging you’ll find that people of all ages including young children do take part. There are fun activities and refreshments that add to the race itself as well. For a small additional fee, you’ll be able to enjoy a pint of beer as well as a hog roast. This gives you more of an opportunity to enjoy the incredible environment.

If you are planning to bring spectators, you’ll be thrilled to learn that they too can enjoy the feast that is on offer. Even if everyone isn’t involved in the race itself, it can still be a fantastic day out for the entire family.

Those who do compete gain a custom medal complete with engravings marking the day and the year while they can help themselves to a whole buffet of tasty treats guaranteed to tantalise the taste buds.

Again the aim of this race is to ensure that it is as inclusive as possible. This means that children as young as 3 can run the race as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult. For kids who can’t run the full race, there is a mini mud bath that provides the same type of fun-filled experience.

All in all, this is a great day out for everyone who decides to show up, regardless of whether you’re planning to run or simply watch other people get muddy.

The Eastnor Castle Mud Bath was set up and established as part of Relish Running Races. This organization was conceived by a GP professional triathlete with eight years competing in Olympic duathlon, half ironman triathlon, sprinting and Olympic challenges.
