Hi I'm Vicky. I’m both a passionate, addictive runner and been running for around 8 years after falling in love with ultra running. I’ve been running competitively for around 5 years. Since running at a club, marathons have become my true love (and often leave me in happy tears at the finish line)! I’m currently training for the Bruges Marathon where I hope to get my first sub 3 after 2 practice attempts!
In 2024, I qualified as a yoga teacher in India and I now teach online classes that support runners with strength, mobility and mindfulness. I also run a health and wellbeing Instagram account where I share the highs, lows and everything in between when it comes to running, recovery, and staying well. Both physically and mentally. I also love to share honest reviews on trainers, clothing, races and tools that support my running journey.
WHO IS GOODR?
Goodr is a brand that creates high performance, stylish sunglasses designed for active lifestyles without the high price tag.
All Goodr products are 100% carbon neutral and come with a 1 year warranty and a 30 day return policy.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
These sunglasses feature a lightweight, tortoise shell frame with a special grip coating that keeps them in place even when sweating.
The brown, non-reflective lenses are polarised and surprisingly durable (I accidentally put them through the washing machine, and they came out completely fine).
Though I don’t recommend putting them through the machine, that kind of resilience impressed me.
SHAPE AND FIT

As a female runner with a small face, I often struggle to find sunglasses that don’t look oversized or slip down my nose.
These fit perfectly. The medium size frame offers a snug, bounce free fit that I find both flattering and functional.
I’ve worn them on everything from fast track sessions to easy off road runs, and they have stayed securely in place the whole time, meaning no constant adjusting needed.
PRICE
At just £30, I feel that these sunglasses offer excellent value for money. For this level of performance, comfort and durability, I genuinely expected them to cost more.
They’ve held up beautifully during my marathon training this summer, even in very hot and sweaty conditions.
I have previously spent a lot of money on sunglasses and in terms of glasses for an active lifestyle, these have triumphed.
UV PROTECTION
The polarised brown lenses provide full UV400 protection, blocking 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays.
As a contact lens wearer, I really rely on sunglasses to protect my eyes from the sun and wind and struggle to run without them. These have made my runs noticeably more comfortable.
POLARISED LENSES
The glare reducing polarised lenses are ideal for sunny runs, especially on reflective roads and trails.
They’ve helped reduce eye strain during long sessions and maintained great visibility even in high glare conditions.
PROS
