Uppers
The uppers are light and breathable. I would like to see the material being a little tougher to prevent rips but the toes are well protected with a double layer to stop your toes from coming through. Plenty of room in the toe box too.

Outsole
The Altra Vanish Carbon provides good grip in the roads with a hard wearing outsole. They also seemed to cope well with track sessions even with the exposed foam.

Midsole
Crafted from Altra EGO PRO foam, the midsole is designed to be exceptionally lightweight, enabling effortless long-distance runs while delivering optimal cushioning at every step for an effortless experience.
Review
I think if your a fan of Altra running shoes you love these as a race day option that will give you that little bit of extra propulsion thanks to it rocking technology that you do not get in a typical Altra running shoe.
For the price I would like to see a full carbon plate in the future but the Altra EGO PRO foam is really responsive making it a fun but fast ride.
They won't be my go to race day shoes but I do really like them for tempo runs and track sessions when I want to pick up a bit of speed in training.
