  • Who it is for: Serious athletes and runners who suffer from extremely tight calves or Achilles issues and want the most powerful flush possible (up to 250mmHg).

COMPRESSION MODES

The Myoair has five different programmes, which can be customised by pressure and time.

MODE A: Foot > Calf > Knee > Thigh

MODE B: Foot > Foot/Calf > Foot/Calf/Knee > Foot/Calf/Knee/Thigh

MODE C: Foot/Calf > Knee/Thigh > Foot/Calf > Knee/Thigh

MODE D: Alternating pattern. Hard to explain this one easily in text!

MODE E: Foot/Calf > Knee/Thigh > Foot > Foot/Knee

My personal favourite is mode B. The constant squeezing feels like it is really flushing out the toxins in your legs.

BATTERY LIFE & CHARGING TIME

The MyoAir comes with a lithium ion battery that provides 180 minutes of use on a full charge, with a recharge time of 2-3 hours.

This is one of favourite features about the compression boots and makes them suitable for both home use and travel, offering flexibility for athletes when your on the move.

LEG ATTACHMENTS

SIZING

The Myoair is available in four different sizes:

  • Medium: Quad size 48cm to 54cm
  • Large: Quad size 54cm to 58cm
  • Extra Large: Quad size 58cm to 66cm
  • Extra Extra Large: Quad size 66cm to 75cm

Simply loop a tape measure around the widest part of your thigh to find your size.

I went for size Extra large, which is probably on the upper end of sizing for me, but it meant my wife could potentially use them as well.

4 PRESSURE CHAMBERS

The MyoAir features four inflation chambers that target each section specifically.

You can pinpoint areas by deactivating chambers, ideal for focusing on a specific body part post-session or aiding injury recovery.

I really struggle with tightness in my calfs and achilles, so this feature was particularly useful to me.

PRODUCT WEIGHT

myomaster compression boots backpack

When the Myoair is in the rucksack that comes with it, it weighs less than 2kg.

I struggled to get an exact weight as the rucksack is to big for my kitchen scales but not heavy enough for standard scales.

The leg attachments weigh next to nothing. The only part of the system that has some weight to it is the operating battery unit.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM?

myoair compression boots

Yes I would recommend the MyoMaster MyoAir compression boots.

They are a high end recovery tool that offers unparalleled compression strength that I have really noticed a difference using.

While they come with a hefty price tag, their versatility, portability thanks to being battery operated, and powerful performance make them a worthy investment for serious athletes and those prioritising rapid recovery.

However, potential buyers should consider their specific needs and whether they need the compression boots to be wireless and a few more programs.

WHERE TO BUY

You can buy the Myomaster compression boots direct from Myomaster website.

PROS & CONS

Pros Cons
Elite Power: Delivers an incredible 250mmHg of pressure, which is more than double the industry standard. High Price Point: At £599, it requires a serious financial investment.
Wireless Portability: Features a massive 3 hour battery life so you aren't chained to a wall socket. Sizing Limits: If multiple people in your house are drastically different heights, you may struggle to share one pair.
Customisable Chambers: You can completely turn off individual chambers to avoid squeezing an injured area.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What size MyoMaster boots should I buy? MyoMaster sizes are based on the circumference of your quad. Simply loop a tape measure around the widest part of your thigh to find your size: Medium (48-54cm), Large (54-58cm), XL (58-66cm), or XXL (66-75cm). Tip: If you are between sizes or want to share with a partner, sizing up is usually a safe bet.

Can I use the boots if I have an ankle or knee injury? Yes. One of the best features of the MyoAir is the ability to independently deactivate any of the 4 pressure chambers. If you have a bruised knee or a sore Achilles, you can turn off that specific zone while still flushing the rest of your leg.

CONCLUSION

According to MyoMaster, 98% of users felt a difference after just 10 minutes of use. The boots are said to help flush lactic acid, reduce muscle pain, and improve overall circulation.

I have to agree, my legs definitely feel better after using them. I find them particularly useful after my running club sessions, where I have pushed myself a bit harder.
