Its hard to explain how a mattress feels firm but also feels like your laying on a layer of clouds.
The 11 layers make it feel like your dream bed that you only find in fancy hotels.
WASHABLE COVER
This is a feature we loved on our previous Simba hybrid mattress. It means you do not need a mattress protector as you can simply unzip the top cover and chuck it in the wash.
It makes it super simple to keep clean and whilst it is a little fiddly the first couple of times you take it off and put it back on again, you soon get use to it.
HANDLES
The Simba Ultra mattress is unbelievably heavy so you really need the 8 handles (2 on each side) on the mattress to be able to rotate it.
They are really well constructed and make it easy to grip the mattress.
SIZES
The Simba Ultra mattress is available 8 sizes:
- Single - 90cm wide x 190cm length x 25cm depth
- Double -135cm wide x 190cm length x 25cm depth
- King - 150cm wide x 200cm length x 25cm depth
- Super King - 180cm wide x 200cm length x 25cm depth

HOW DEEP IS IT?
The Simba Ultra mattress is a incredible 34cm deep!
It does take a bit of getting used to as it is roughly 10cm taller than our previous mattress and you feel that difference getting into bed.
I had to lean my ruler up against it otherwise it dropped down the frame, so its not quite showing the full 34cm with ruler in the photo. I probably should of measured it after letting the mattress expand and breath a bit more to get the full height it promises.
Because of the height you will need extra deep sheets, we have always used Rise & Fall extra deep sheets. They are super elastic around the corners and never come off.
TAKING DELIVERY
Simba offers free standard delivery to most of the UK mainland, allowing you to select a convenient date at checkout.

SETTING UP YOUR SIMBA ULTRA MATTRESS
Unboxing your Simba Ultra is a straightforward process, though because of its 34cm depth and weight, it is best done with two people because it is so heavy!
STEP 1
Move the box into your chosen bedroom before opening.
STEP 2
Carefully slide the rolled mattress out of its box and position it onto your bed frame.
STEP 3
Carefully slice open the protective plastic wrapping (avoiding sharp knives that could nick the cover).
STEP 4
Watch as the mattress begins to unroll and rapidly inflate.
STEP 5
Allow it to fully expand over a few hours to reach its optimum 34cm height.

TESTING OUT THE SIMBA ULTRA MATTRESS
I am only a couple of weeks in after receiving the mattress so I will update this review after 200 nights.
What I will say is I previously wouldn't of dreamt of spending £3000 on a mattress, but now I have it, I am not sure I could live without it!
