Under Armour Flow Velociti Elite shoes first burst on to the scene when Sharon Lokedi won the NYC Marathon in 2022, after training and racing with the rubberless super shoes with carbon-fiber propulsion plate to cross the finish line in 2:23:23.
A full length carbon plate provides propulsion, while the rubberless Flow cushioning ensures that this racing shoe remains lightweight and offers excellent grip.
In this review we take a look at what you can expect from the Under Armour Flow Velociti Elite race day shoes.
The Heel
The inside of the shoe has a TPE sockliner for enhanced resiliency, the tongue is lightly padded and provides a secure lockdown that is comfortable.
Whilst I did not feel any discomfort or blisters the heel is probably the only part of the shoe I would like to see a bit more cushioning, but this might be just my own preference.
The Uppers
The upper is constructed with Warp™ 2.0 material, which offers exceptional breathability. Whilst the upper material is super lightweight, quality has not been forgotten and it feels much stronger than most super shoe materials.
A feature I really like as I live in a village with no street lights is the upper has reflective strips all over it, which gives great visibility in low light. A feature I would like to see on more trainers.
The Outsole
Unlike most super shoes the outsole is made from what Under Armour calls Flow. This is both the midsole and the outsole of the shoe, eliminating the need for rubber.
Considering the shoe has no rubber on the outsole the foam feels grippy considering that it works as both your cushioning and sole.
The durability of the outsole during track sessions was impressive. Unlike most super shoes, the outsoles remained intact and showed no signs of wear or damage.
The Midsole
Thanks to Under Armour's Flow technology, the shoes achieve a light feel, resulting in faster strides and a firm, close-to-the-ground contact.
They feel surprisingly springy and thanks to the cushioning you cannot feel the carbon plate.
How Much Do They Weigh?
My UK size 9 shoes weigh 215g.
Is It A Full Carbon Plate?
Yes, the shoe has full length carbon fibre plate to add propulsion and helps turnover your strides quicker.
How Long Do They Last?
The outsole of these shoes has really impressed me. It is extremely durable and long-lasting compared to other super shoes. I would not be surprised if these trainers endured 500 miles, just like you'd expect from normal running trainers.

Not being familiar with Under Armour, these trainers really surprised me.
If your looking for a shoe for speed and lightness, this super shoe is a great choice. I have personally used it for various tempo runs, track workouts, and races. Once the shoe is broken in, the carbon plate offers an excellent ride.
Give it a few runs to break them in to experience ultimate comfort.

The durability of the Under Armour Flow Velociti Elite trainers makes them a top choice for those looking for the best value.
These super shoes offer long-lasting performance, whether it's during track sessions or on race day.
