WHO FOUNDED MYOMASTER & WHEN DID IT START?
MyoMaster is a sports recovery company founded by Lottie Whyte and Joe Gray in 2018. The company develops and sells products aimed at helping athletes of all levels improve performance and recover faster.
The idea for MyoMaster originated when Joe Gray, a professional rugby player for Harlequins, was sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury in early 2018. Frustrated by his injury, Gray created a makeshift massage gun by dismantling a drill and welding on a stool leg. This prototype proved effective in treating his injury and caught the attention of his teammates when he brought it to training.
Seeing the potential impact this technology could have for both professional and everyday athletes, Lottie Whyte, Gray's wife and co-founder, developed the concept further. They set out to create accessible recovery tools supported by education to help athletes recover effectively anywhere.
MyoMaster started with Whyte's life savings of £50,000, and she initially ran it as a side hustle while working full-time for the first year. The company has since grown rapidly, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when it pivoted to focus more on e-commerce and recently celebrated breaking through the £3,000,000 in sales benchmark.
The company has expanded its product line and customer base, serving over 10,000 athletes from elite professionals to everyday fitness enthusiasts.
DRAGONS DEN
MyoMaster appeared on Dragons' Den in 2023. During their appearance, they successfully secured a £100,000 investment from two Dragons - Gary Neville and Sara Davies.
This investment and their appearance on the show helped boost the company's profile, particularly after a clip of co-founder Lottie Whyte responding to Steven Bartlett went viral online.

MYOMASTER ICE BATHS
MyoMaster offers a range of portable and static ice baths designed for cold water immersion therapy and recovery.
What we love about Myomaster, is given Joe's background in Rugby there products are designed larger than most standard ice baths on the market and capable of holding those as large as 6 foot 7 inches!
Unlike other standard ice baths they all have a hose pipe connector and chiller connector, meaning if you want to upgrade at any point regardless of whether you have a basic or more expensive static ice bath, you can.
Myomaster has five ice baths, but these two are our favourite ice baths:
