I recently tested the Bob & Brad C2 massage gun and was really impressed, so when the Bob & Brad team asked me to review the UNI massage gun I jumped at the chance.
The Bob & Brad UNI massage gun is a good value starter massage gun with 10mm of amplitude, delivering a deep massage treatment.
I tested the UNI massage gun to see if it would accelerate my pre-run warm-up and post-run recovery.
What Is Included?
The Bob and Brad UNI massage gun kit includes:
- The UNI massage gun
- 5 different massage gun heads including standard bull head, large ball head, air cushion head, bullet head and fork head.
- Basic protective carry bag
- Printed manual
- Type-C USB charging cable
What Is The Battery Life?
The Bob & Bard C2 massage gun has a rechargeable battery and you can recharge the battery quickly using the Type C USB cable provided and it is really quick to charge.
It claims to have 180 minutes of continuous use, I did not time every time I used it, I found the battery life really good and was more than adequate to easily do 4 or 5 massages without needing to charging it.
The only frustration I had with this massage gun was there is no battery life indicator, so you are not sure when the battery will run out.
Is It Easy To Use?
Yes - Simply hold down the button on the back of the massage gun for several seconds and it will start on the slowest setting of 1800 RPM.
You simply press the button on the back once to increase the speed, until you get to the maximum speed of 3000 RPM.
It also includes a printed manual showing you how to target different areas of your body that is easy to follow.
What Is The Weight & Design Like?
The UNI is quite a compact design but unlike the standard “T” shape of most massage guns, the UNI has a unique 105° angled handle that allows for less wrist extension. This makes it slightly easier to target areas.
The UNI massage gun weighs 0.57kg, which is quite light for a massage gun.
Is It Noisy?
No, the UNI massage gun is not noisy.
The patented technology provides an impressively hushed operation. The professional-grade brushless motor is wrapped around with proprietary sound insulation materials, creating a pleasantly quiet experience without compromising on its power.
However, it is not the quietest massage gun I have used, but is quiet for its price tag.
UNI vs C2 Comparison
The main difference between the UNI and C2 massage gun is that the C2 is quieter and although slightly heavier, it feels lighter as the weight feels like it is more evenly distributed.
If you have the budget to spend a little bit extra I would lean towards the C2, which is a more premium product, but the UNI is great value and would be a perfect starting point if you have not owned a massage gun before.

Yes, it is really good value massage gun that I think it would be perfect for those starting there journey with a self massage or giving as a gift to running friends.
