SOAR advertise these crew socks as lightweight, breathable and built to last.
Designed with runners in mind, they are said to deliver support, comfort and durability for everything from short training runs to ultra distance.
FIRST IMPRESSION

In my opinion, these socks ooze quality and comfort. They feel lightweight, soft and well made, with padding around the heel and forefoot. The arch compression band gives a secure, lock in feel and the mid-calf cuff stays neatly in place without slipping.
They fit my feet perfectly (UK 6) and I’ve had no rubbing, bunching or discomfort during runs, even on longer sessions and during a half marathon race which ended up being quite wet.
FIT AND COMFORT

These socks are incredibly comfortable from the first wear. The mix of padding, mesh ventilation and gentle compression feels supportive without ever being heavy or restrictive.
I’ve worn them for both training and racing, and I’ve not had an issue with blisters or irritation. Which is big for me!
The crew length is perfect for me, it gives a little extra protection above the ankle without feeling bulky and adds subtle support around the lower calf.
I quite like this length, as it feels secure and comfortable without overheating.
MATERIALS AND DURABILITY

SOAR use Softair yarn for these socks, which regulates temperature and keeps feet feeling comfortable across distances.
I had no issues of my feet overheating during any long runs and my socks didn’t feel sweaty or hot after a session.
The reinforced heel and toe panels give the socks durability and even after multiple washes the socks have kept their shape and performance and there’s been no holes or fraying.
I also think they are designed quite nice, meaning they compliment your running outfit nicely.
FEATURES
- Open mesh construction across the upper midfoot and ankle for maximum airflow.
- Extra padding on the heel and toes for high impact comfort.
- Light compression band across the arch to hold the sock in place and prevent bunching or rubbing
- Temperature regulating, softair yarn for comfort across all distances
- Ribbed mid-calf cuff for structure and support.
- Reinforced heel and toe panels for durability
PRICE
At £22 a pair, these are definitely at the higher end of the market for running socks.
That said, for me, the comfort, fit and durability do justify the price, especially if you’re running regularly or racing.
They feel like a worthwhile investment for happy, blister free feet which is extra important during marathons, or the longer training runs when you need everything to feel good.

CONCLUSION

If I’m honest, these socks aren’t cheap, but they really do feel nice.
They combine comfort and durability, performing well while looking clean and minimal.
Yes, they’re on the expensive side for a pair of socks, but for me, the comfort and confidence on longer runs makes them worth it.
