The Adidas Adizero Takumi Sen 8 is a specialist racer best suited to 5 km races and short-distance interval workouts. Version 8 is very different to version 7 because it now has a thicker, Lightstrike Pro midsole and EnergyRods which make it stiffer.
The Takumi Sen 8 is also lighter and has a shorter stack than Adidas Adios Pro 2, and is more designed for 5K and 10K races rather than marathons.
Some super-shoe elements remain though, with the Takumi Sen 8 using Adidas’s bouncy Lightstrike Pro foam and embedding EnergyRods in the forefoot to provide extra propulsion to your toe-off, though these rods are thinner and more flexible than the ones used in the Adios Pro 2.
This shoe is very narrow in the midfoot, and as a result can feel pretty unstable.
The lacing on adidas running shoes can also make it difficult to adjust the tension of the laces, making it difficult to get the perfect fit.
What Colours Are Available?
